Collaborative Remodel with Denise Kuriger Design

A client who had previously been working with a New York design studio approached me to collaborate on the remodel of their Aspen townhome, located near the base of the ski slopes.

I worked alongside Denise Kuriger Design, contributing to the design and planning of the kitchen, dining area, mudroom and closets.

The vision for the home was a sophisticated industrial aesthetic – refined rather than raw – blending mountain luxury with contemporary urban character. To achieve this, we incorporated specialized metal finishes and textured surfaces, layered with warm wood tones and bronze accents.

To soften and lighten the overall composition, extensive concealed lighting was integrated throughout the millwork and architectural elements. This hidden illumination added warmth, depth  and atmosphere while balancing the stronger industrial materials.

The kitchen and dining areas were designed to feel polished and functional for everyday living and entertaining, while the mudroom and closets were carefully planned to support an active Aspen lifestyle with elegant organization and storage.

The result is a residence that feels elevated, distinctive and perfectly suited to its mountain setting, where industrial sophistication meets warmth, comfort, and understated luxury.
